This appointment is for new clients looking to get started with structured literacy intervention. This appointment includes 1 hour with Carly Axani, a registered speech-language pathologist and Sarah Novosel-Ulbrich, a literacy specialist. During this time, they will conduct a targeted literacy assessment and set collaborative goals for intervention. Please note this assessment may be eligible for reimbursement under extended health benefits for speech therapy.

This appointment is designed for families who want clarity on whether their child’s reading and writing skills are age-appropriate. It is ideal for parents seeking reassurance, early identification of potential gaps, or guidance on next steps.
This collaborative session includes 1 hour with Carly Axani, a registered speech-language pathologist and Sarah Novosel-Ulbrich, literacy specialist. During this time, we will complete a focused literacy assessment examining foundational reading and writing skills, and provide individualized feedback regarding your child’s current performance relative to grade-level expectations.
You will leave this appointment with practical, evidence-based strategies to implement at home to support continued literacy growth, as well as recommendations for whether further assessment or structured intervention may be beneficial.
